I. Size:--- second largest country
--- reaches a quarter of the way round the earth
--- the distance from east to west is over 5,500 km
--- covers six of the world's time areas
II. Languages:--- two official languages: French & English
--- the French-speaking province--- Quebec
--- settlers settled in Canada & brought languages with them : the first from England in 1497 & the second from France in 1534.
